The story behind us

Lancashire Canine Academy was founded by our Head Trainer & Behaviour Practitioner Marcia Ashworth (BA Hons) IMDT, a former Military Working Dog handler, who transitioned from traditional training methods to force-free techniques after witnessing their benefits firsthand.

Our academy, nestled in the heart of Accrington, was born from a commitment to enriching the lives of dogs and their owners through ethical, science-based training practices. With over 20 years of experience, our facility offers a haven where compassionate professionals use their expertise to foster understanding and mutual respect between canines and their human companions.

The Woof Works

The Woof Works is our all-weather training facility. We have well over 1000 sq. feet of indoor & outdoor space to compliment our main training room, all-natural treat & enrichment shop, indoor playground and outdoor secure training area

We are ideally located in the heart of Accrington with on street parking. We have a disabled access ramp, so whether you or your dog are on wheels, we can accommodate.
